Actually, it would be more correct to say that she wants only a guy
with equal intelligence and interests to what she perceives hers to be.
I have found her editorial comments to be generally quite
superficial. And she seems always to have had a giant chip on her
shoulder about the guy thing - which she inserts regularly into her
column. Which tends to trivialize her pretenses of political punditry.
How often do men in her line of work whine about the dating scene?
Her attitude in print towards men is a mix of desperation and
hostlilty. And she seems to lack insight as to the incoherence (not to
mention the dangerous potential) of her stance.
She says she wants a smart guy but what would a smart guy do with
such a person? He would not want her to even get his phone number.
She exudes a massive sense of entitlement. Nothing wrong with that
except that it rules out all sympathy when she gets less than her
self-perception requires.
