| subject: | Gulf Oil Spill - Praying |
Jeff... JS> While I commend these men for their actions in seeking God's help, the JS> tragedy of situations like this is that most people forget all about JS> God in their daily lives, until something terrible happens. Then they JS> scurry to get on their knees. Lord help us all to have a true daily JS> relationship with the Lord, and not to just superficially worship God JS> when it is for our personal benefit and convenience. One thing is for JS> certain: God certainly has their attention now! It makes me wonder if this is a precursor to one of the plagues in the Book of Revelation, where an object (Wormwood) slams into the water, and destroys one third of the ships and marine life. I saw a report where they are still finding oil traces in parts of Alaska from the Exxon Valdez spill so long ago. I don't think the Gulf Of Mexico water will be clean again, until the Second Coming of Christ, where He will (as Hal Lindsey put it) "recycle The Late Great Planet Earth"...restoring the Earth to a place of incredible beauty for the Millenial Kingdom...and finally removing the curse of sin.
