Modern schools, modern problems.
Racial discrimination is not as "acceptable" as it used to be;
discrimination against Gay people is still at a very high level.
Even in the middle of L.A.; in the middle of Hollywood and West Hollywood.
Brutal attacks on the streets, at night, in neighborhoods -- often by
insecure, homophobic high school students from Fairfax High School and
Hollywood High. (This has improved a little since some of the counseling
based and respect based programs have been instituted there -- programs
which the Reverend Sheldon wants removed; "God hates Gays.")
