Here's the scary part: it is known that Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda
organization has access to quite a lot of computing equipment before much
of it was lost after the US overthrew the Taliban government in Afghanistan
late in 2001.

It's possible that an computer-literate al-Qaeda operative living in a
"safe" area may have propogated the latest "worm" as a
test; they may be preparing to propogate a very nasty "worm" that
will bring down the entire public Internet by overwhelming routers around
the world--and no operating system will be safe from such an attack.
