I got finush building the new Gentoo 3.17.7 as just a host system of
gentoo-sttd, but by boot up thing got wrong as it not like to boot korrekt up,
and all could not find boot and the root partion, and at least I try out with
the sysrescuecd ad it come out with errors for something of mount sda partions,
so I put the install Gentoo cdrom on and now came I in to checking the harddisk
and I forgot that fstab and grub + kernel not could find out of my setting
there was wrong in fstab as I had in my head that it was sda1 sda2 sda3 sda4
when this is wrong of the harddisk, so for sure case I run fdisk /dev/sda and
saw.
sda1 sda2 sda3 sda4 sda5 sda6.
So it in fstab and for kernel and grub is:
sda2 = boot, sda5 = root /
So I had to change line for root from sda3 to sda5 as sda4 is boot sda5 and
sda6 and it is extended partion. So while install cdrom is in the pc and it
have to be make 10 command to make of kernel and initramfs and grub to it can
work by a reboot to harddisk start.
GA>> msged crach by it had mem error of to small mem for it.
MK>That sounds really odd. I'll have a looksee at all the latest and
MK>greatest Husky source later on both my builds on x86_64; the kv-3.14.27
MK>sysvinit stable one, and later the kv-3.18.1 systemd-218 expermental
MK>one. I haven't built the Husky stuff in awhile but I doubt it has
MK>changed all that much.
Yes, and self if it is been recompile of hsukt stuff is it not like to work,
else have I to some time to make a new and bigger fido pc on a bigger harddisk
with it all done form a new setup of Gentoo and then try it out with all the
now installed linux programs been updae compiled.
Take care,
Gert
