That is not surprising these days. You don't see many server based linux
distributions anymore. That is one of the reasons I build my own from scratch
and ALWAYS add gcc/glibc so that they can take care of themselves. As far as I
am concerned a linux distribution without development tools isn't worth
booting, server or otherwise.

That sounds about right. I'll check around a bit more before starting but I'll
probably go with systemd-218 and kv-3.18.1 as I already have the build scripts
for those. I plan to pay more attention to configuration issues this time
especially about tty's although I am not convinced I did anything wrong.

That sounds really odd. I'll have a looksee at all the latest and greatest
Husky source later on both my builds on x86_64; the kv-3.14.27 sysvinit stable
one, and later the kv-3.18.1 systemd-218 expermental one. I haven't built the
Husky stuff in awhile but I doubt it has changed all that much.
