(I may be a cynic, but those trees look CGI-hazy to me.  Or maybe the piss
that was scared out of me provided the background atmospherics.

500kV must be DC, yes?  Are there guard wires running beside the hot and
neutral to reduce static effects?  Or is there such a thing as a 500kV
3-phase delta 60Hz transmission line?)
