I dont see any delays at PPP startup like that, however I have seen delays in 
starting some Web based apps (most noticable is WebExplorer) if PPP is not 
already running and there is no DNS currently available. If this is the basis 
of your problem, then there are several ways around it, but you could try and 
make sure there are no utilities running that want to do a DNS lookup prior 
to establishing the PPP link. I invoke my PPP connection via a Rexx script 
and only start my Web apps once the PPP link is actually running.
