subject: 128DCR problem

One of my 128DCR's has had an intermittent lockup I tried heating isolated
chips on MB
the MMU reacted by locking the computer up, I thought I had isolated the bad
IC, but recently I was running some
software and after about 2 hours it locked up again.
So back to troubleshooting this again, happens when I least expect the system
to lockup, so isolating one chip at a time with a piece of
cardboard, heat chip with heat gun for a few seconds (on low heat setting).
More fun.

BTW I did the Al Anger hack to this 128DCR, I totally shut off the internal
1571 and only use the IEC serial port, but does the internal 1571
MB circuit still interfere in anyway, or cause a lockup, im wondering if this
may be my lockup problem.

Just occured to me I had heard the Al Anger hack may still cause some problems,
but not sure if they cause intermittent lockups, I always have to
reset the computer at this point.

Thanks,

Terry Raymond
