RM> I've been pointed to three programs that sound very promising.
RM> 1)COMMO65.ZIP My response came from Jim Bennett, a BBS sysop, who
RM> provided the following information: 1-520-290-2807
RM> Logon as "Commo Release" using the password "Guest."
RM> According to Mr. Bennett, This presents a list of
RM> {COMMO} related files and the caller is allowed to D/L
RM> up to 5 files at a time.
Ive used COMMO many times.. you can do many many things with the scripts, its
just really hard to figure out tho..
 RM> 2)ICOM201A.ZIP
 RM> ICOM201B.ZIP
RM> ICOM201C.ZIP The author of this program is Wayne Duff. The sysop
RM> said to call 1-909-274-9634, Logon as "ICOM VISITOR"
RM> and use the password "ICOM." Then you will be able do
 RM> D/L ICOM201*.ZIP. Per the sysop, this is a free D/L on
 RM> the first call.
Never heard of it..
RM> I've also heard from more than one person to bag the Qmodem Script
RM> avenue as an answer in that it is lengthy and complicated to get
RM> debugged. I'm not going to give up on scripting completely...yet. But
RM> if there is an easier way to get my system automated, I'll find it.
Well if you were on vacation, what you COULD do, this is pretty far fetched,
but i almost did this when i went away, is buy one of those plug things thats
a timer, that goes on at a certain time each day, then put in your
autoexec.bat "qmpro /s:scriptname" and in that script have it dial and do
whatever you want to do, thats not hard, but its just crazy that youd have
to buy that thing, i dunno thats if you wanted to stick with qmpro.. if there
was only some genius programmer out there that at a certain time each day,
executed a certain program or something.. >
RM> Sure hope this helps you. I've been really pleased with all the help
RM> I've received so far. With all the willing participants out there, it
RM> won't be very long until I'm sleeping and my computer will be working
 RM> for me.
Yes, and thank you..
