My name is Larry Boughton. I'm a Paramedic in New York State. In Pts with COPD medics use the pulse ox. Well the Answer to this question is treat the pt not the monitor. if you treat the pt for example, Is the pt having difficulty breathing, is the pt cyanotic, what do the lungs sound like. I was told even if the pt has COPD and is having trouble breathing you use high flow oxygen. --- MjrFIDO 3.25 ---------------* Origin: *** Cyber-Quest Online Services *** (1:260/755) |
