Masturbation and/or homosexuality may have something to do with the
difference.
In my 15 years of diving I've see 5 men masturbating, this was when I
had a VW van or while in a minivan.  And, I have a couple of friends
that have seen it happen too.
Statistics for men, women and sex acts certainly don't have to be near
50-50.  Masturbation and homosexuality may have a lot to do with the
difference between the two.
