Hello Ross. Trust me, I understand the complexity of the problem. Yet at the
same time, your statements are self-conflicting. You claim that the USA and
Russia are not the problem, while at the same time state that nuclear
disarmament won't work so long as those with refuse to do without. Can't you
se that this is the main problem? If nations like the USA and Russia can't
trust each other enough to totally abandon their nuclear stockpiles, then how
in the world is that leading by example, and how in the world is it going to
inspire other nations to do the same? So in my mind, yes, the USA and Russia,
and all of the other current Nuclear Club members are the problem. They must
all be willing to surrender their nuclear armaments for the greater good of
the planet.

I am not denying that there are problems with some of the other nations that
you mentioned, but my whole argument has always been that before anyone starts
pointing fingers at others, they better take a hard look at themselves first.
As I've already stated a number of times, it is hypocritical to say "I can
have nukes, but you can't". For everyone to be on equal footing, everyone must
give them up. The Nuclear Club members need to make nuclear disarmament work,
instead of just pointing the finger at others. That's a cop-out and shirking
their own responsibilities to the world.

A nuclear-free world is the only safe world, for all concerned.
