Never is an absolute statment which should never be used. :) For example my 
.60 size Long John has 0 dihedral in the wing. While they are great flying 
planes the instructions leave a bit to be desired. They start out like this, 
"Lay out a straight line at least sixty inches long on your building board.". 
You build the whole plane off of this line there are no plans.
