subject: QWK/REP vs DWNLD/UPLD

I have been a devoted Qmodem user for years and am very
     happy using QMPro 1.53 . . .
When I upgraded to QMPro (been a lonnggg time gone now) I
was pleased to see that they allowed for the separation of
the QWK/REP directories from the DOWNLOAD/UPLOAD
directories. Well, that's what we thought at the time.
When MSI was questioned why the separation didn't work (QWK
packets are still dl'd to the DL directory and the REP
packets must still be in the designated UL directory) they
treated those that questioned like they were idiots.
Well . . . I've thought about it for a couple of years now
and I still think that the MSI geeks were the ones that
     were the idiots.
Can anyone explain their reasoning to me?
Can anyone suggest a way to get them to go ahead and fix
what looked like a great idea to begin with?
I thought I would get over it, but apparently I won't!
          phil
