I've been picking away at it.  At the moment I've been experimenting with
c-kermit and the protocols.ctl file but it is on hold while I try and catch
up on a development system.  I have fallen behind the Germans!!!  :-)

Waiting for caller screen.  I still say it is unneeded.  It's a hangover
from snoopy DOS sysops who couldn't multitask or network.  I think it's
useless on any Unix system myself.
