If you guys look at the main menu in the first window that appears in BW
you will see the option "Setup/Configure Mail Reader". Click on it. Then
"Preferences", then "Default Preferences", and you will
find "File and
String Preferences". Click on it and arrow down to "Message Save
File".
You will see which file name you are saving messages to. Right arrow and
change it to "*.txt". Save changes and exit the Setup/Configure area.

In the BW directory, create as many *.txt files as you need.

Now, the next time you are reading in BW and save a message, you will
get a table with choices to save to.

You can manage "Packet Preference Override" and "Msg Area
Preference Override" in a similar way.

If you want to save a whole mail packet in one fell swoop, when you are
on the "Select Area" screen (to get there from the beginning, start at
the Main Menu, Open mail Packet, at the Mail Packet Manager screen,
select a packet, at the Openb Packet Menu, read Mail Packet) use Alt G
for Global Functions, then V to saVe messages to ASCII file, then Alt S
to un-select marked messages only, then "enter". Type in the file name
you want if it doesn't come up automatically. The data will append by
default, unless you select "Overwrite."
