Hello Tim. Thanks for your response. As I've made clear before, I by no means
support Obama's liberal agenda, particularly when it comes to such issues as
abortion, embryonic stem cell research and the gay and lesbian agenda, but
after what America went through the past eight years with Bush's obstinacy,
belligerence, insolence and unilateralist, my-way-or-the-highway attitude,
which left America more hated than ever before, how can you not expect Obama
to pull back the reins a little, and do some fence-mending?

I supported some of Bush's positions, but overall, he was a very poor
president. If anyone acted like a clown, and even looked like a clown at times
with his smirkish grin, it was certainly George W. Bush. On top of all of the
above, he lied and deceived the American people, and sucked the American
coffers dry with his two wars. The current financial mess came to a serious
head on Bush's watch, because Bush was the one who was weak-minded. He was so
weak-minded that he kowtowed time and again to the demands of his rich
friends. He was a puppet on their strings.

Obama inherited a heck of a lot, perhaps more than any president before him.
He has barely been in office for two and half months. He is not a superman,
and I very seriously doubt that everything will be coming up roses by the time
his first term ends, but give the guy a chance.

Exercising diplomacy is NOT being weak-minded. It can be wisdom.

Sending an additional 30,000 troops to Afghanistan is NOT being weak-minded.

Resisting nations like France and Germany is NOT being weak-minded.

Standing up to Wall Street, the automakers, etc., and expecting accountability
is NOT being weak-minded.

I understand the realities of the world, but right now, America could use some
friends.

Yes, America does have some things for which it needs to apologize, beginning
with the fact that the entire world is now suffering a severe financial crisis
which has resulted primarily from American greed, avarice and selfishness.

America also needs to apologize for the hundreds of thousands of innocent
civilians, (some place the number over one million), who have either died, or
who have been maimed, or who have suffered some other kind of loss due to
America's wreckless war-mongering.

And the list goes on.

Anyone who cannot see these things is too hard-hearted, blind to the truth,
and fanatically overly patriotic in my view.

Republican compassionate conservative is a pipe dream.

I am neither Republican, Democrat nor Independent. I try to see all sides.
