Yet no amount of opining will change the fact that they were dropped and 
you cannot deny the fact that had Japan been invaded and conquered by
conventional means that the death toll would have been higher, on both
sides..

If the Japanese defense of both Tarawa and Okinawa were any indication on
how far they were willing to go to resist, then the bombs were justified on
that basis alone.

You forget the fact that plans were made to invade and conquer the Japanese
home islands and those plans would have been implemented had there been no
bombs.

Its too late, you dont need to be convinced, they got dropped anyway.
