| subject: | POTS mailer for Husky |
Hello Alan. 15 Oct 08 12:23, you wrote to me: RT>> I am currently using BinkleyTerm with the Husky Utils on Linux, RT>> but would like to use another mailer, that is not reliant on RT>> Fastlst for nodelist compiling, AI> BinkleyTerm is the best for dialup.. :) BTW, do you have a linux AI> binary of binkleyterm? Yes it compiles under Linux very nicely, provided you remove the DOS line endings in the make file, as per the DOCS. But I would prefer one that does not rely on an outside application for compiling a V7 nodelist RT>> so it must be able to either make use of a raw nodelist, or RT>> compile it's own nodelist, be reasonably easy to setup, and work RT>> reliably, and have at least English readable config files. NO, not using DOSEMU, running native Linux applications, and yes, I use BinklyTerm because it is free, I have source code and compile it to work under Linux - but if I can drop the requirement for Fastlst for which I now have source that compiles under Linux, and works fine, but is still a requirement I'd like to "get rid" of if possible. RT>> Reccomendations appreciated. D'Bridge is a DOS app, and probably a reasonably good one, otherwise Ward would not have "stuck" with it all these years, but just as I'd like to get rid of the requirement for Fastlst for my mailer, so, I'd rather not have to install JAVA, for an application such as D'Bridge ...
