Hi,
I confirmed that this is a problem with my 128DCR
I tried running the Enhanced Sid Stereo Player with my
C64C-E  just playing mono or stereo files with the Stereo settings
works fine, no lockups.
So I will have to just trace down what chip is faulty.

I have seen there is a new type of Thermal thermometer that you point at any
IC's etc it reports what the temp is.  I have seen on utube that this can be
used with IC chips to see what temperature they are running at, mainly to see
if the chip is running hotter so as to trace whether this chip may be faulty
and this is what is happening on my 128D, so maybe I could try this device.
BTW this Thermal Thermometer is wireless, apparently battery operated etc.

I wanted to share this tech information if anybody else could use this
troubleshooting their Commodore's.
