I'm fixing to switch over to Linux (Ubuntu v8.04), and I'd love to know if there is any BBS software for Linux that a NOOB (with Linux) like me could set up and run. I'm running VADV now and I love it, but it doesn't come in the Linux "flavor". EleBBS/EleWeb does, but I didn't much like the DOS/Windows version I ran for a couple of years (a couple of bugs that cannot be fixed.) I'm changing over a little at a time, and won't be making the final move until I am sure that the box I'm running works correctly. Or, if there isn't any "easy to run" Linux BBS software, has anyone ever heard of being able to use the FidoNet message echoes on a 'forum'-like phpBB, SMF or vBulletin?
