Hello MICHAEL!
It was a lovely day, that Thursday September 12 1996, when MICHAEL DOYLE
addresses STEVEN VAN IMPE and tells:
MD> heh heh. Might I suggest: Gentle Giant's "Freehand" or "Playing the
MD> Fool." Much more bass & guitars than ELP plus violas, etc., yet
MD> heavy, and easy on the synth.
I'll try it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
MD> Now if you LIKE synth, might I suggest
MD> a dude much closer to your home, France's Jean Michel Jarre.
I already know Jarre, look at NP ! And synths are my favourite background
instrument (Note that I cosider drums as being NOT background !)
 MD> Or if
MD> you prefer real heavy guitar, drums, bass go for the most recent King
MD> Crimson configuration, an album such as "Thraak." If all these
MD> boar you, move on. There are lots of other interesting styles of
 MD> music besides prog-rock.
EVERY music style is interesting, it's just that I'm not always interested.
For the moment, I like analog synths and heavy guitars (not in combination).
A few months ago, it was acoustic guitar.
Next month, it'll probably be something like...flute .
Met vriendelijke groeten, --- Greetings from Antwerp, Belgium
