Considered buying a new one, and passing this down the chain?  A refurb?

Now you know why I bought a service contract, at 1/4 the price of the
machine. I'm no longer a road warrior, and haven't bought full coverage on
a laptop for years.  I did this time.  Small Dog and others discount these.
