Still, all MS has to show for all of its huge endeavors outside its core monopolies are huge losses. How many years has MSN been bleeding money now? X-Box is the latest example. Losses doubled over the previous year last quarter. Ragtag rabble rousers on the Internet are kicking their frigging asses all over the server market. Kicking ass. MS lost the server for good with MS SQL slammer and their own inability to patch their own products. Anywhere they go where they are not in a position to force the product down their customers throats, they fail. They buy companies like Borland because they still occassionally produce good software. Sorry, Peter. You've not made anything close to a convincing argument. Go find a success story off the desktop or office twin monopolies. And note that Office was built not on the glory of its prowess but on top of the desktop. They produce shitty products. Their security is the joke of the industry. They are clueless unless they are lying. -- --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/1.45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/1 633/267 |
