I just went to 'google' because it was clear that I was missing one or two
responses in this thread (could be entirely my fault as my killfile is now
quite large!). I was right and I came across a post by someone calling
itself 'remarksman'. What Mr 'Remarksman' needs to understand is that the
'Brits' are only over there to kick-start F4J in the USA - F4J is also not
so stupid as to believe that everything that works over here will work the

 Ultimately it will be US members who have freely volunteered who will be
doing all or the vast majority of the campaigning and activism. If there is
a nasty and violent backlash against those volunteers in their peacefull (if
albeit controversial) campaigning whose victory would that be - not the
aggressors that's for sure, no the attack against F4J is likely to be more
subtle than that for those opposed to F4J's aim's do not want to create
martyrs for that would only tend to incite outrage on their behalf against
those aggressing, maybe they will try what they are already trying over here
with a link up between the certain elements of the media and establishment
(for example the BBC (Fiona Bruce),Women's Aid,The Guardian Newspaper etc.)
i.e. a hatchet job by making dark insinuations and making allegations about
the 'true' aims of F4J. (As it happens I am a recent recruit myself and so
am privy to the strict rules and regulations that are binding on all members
of F4J so I KNOW that a lot of these allegations amount to nothing more than
a deliberate smear campaign). Do not forget there are an awfull lot of
FATHERS in the USA and I do not doubt that those opposed to fathers rights
and equal parenting will do their level best to misrepresent their actions
and intents. That is why this campaign ultimately will be fought on two
fronts i.e. on the streets in physical activism and on 'paper' with the
pen(or keyboard!).
