What can I say.  "All men are pigs -- but some make good pets."  Then

Have your lawyer call his lawyer and threaten your ex with, 1:
charges under local anti-slalking laws if you have them; 2: a suit to
void any visitation rights or custody rights he might have because he
is an abusive parent (save all e-mail for that one as evidence if you
haven't dumped them yet); 3: have a bunch of your girlfriends over
and burn the stupid bastard in effigy.
