Mostly he just needs time...but you can encourage him a little more with more
pencil and crayon work (coloring books are great things at that age) and let
him practice with scissors.
As for the sign language, there are kids videos that have sign language in
them...sometimes it's more fun (and easier) to copy TV people than Mom. ;)
