Hi Cliff,
Cliff Hetherington to Paul Walker, 28 Mar 97 07:44.
CH> Sorry you've lost me.. Terminate is a DOS platform program, JAR16.EXE
CH> is a dos executable... which also like Terminate just happens to work
/Terminate/ is, yes, but what about all the uplinks? If you're pointing from
a BBS run from, for example, an Acorn, Amiga, whatever then you wouldn't be
able to use JAR.
CH> I run Os/2 Warp 3.0 as you know:-) But Jar16 works ok here, the
Didn't, actually. What's it like? When I eventually get money to upgrade,
Warp is one of the things I plan to try.
CH> problem I have is that while my test ver of TE/TM has JAR support,
CH> the older version doesnt, and I need to keep _both_ versions running
Can't you just add it as an external compression utliity? Most of the
programs I've used have the internally identified ones, then a "default"
which is only called if none of the others match. Surely TerMail lets you do
that? If not, it's even worse than I thought!
CH> my wife uses the older ver, and I'm not about to get her on my back by
:) Wise move!
