If so, could you repost it? Anyway, some things are not readily scriptable in Windows. One thing that comes immediately to mind is the Scheduled Task subsystem in Windows 2000. While it is programmable, its interfaces aren't available to the Windows Script Host. Since they are accessible via VB and VC++, my company had a developer create a DLL that wraps the API calls and exposes them to scripting tools. I can't say much more than I have about Windows "scriptability" (because I don't know much more ) except that the OS provides a rich and incredibly complex object model and allows access to most of it by scripting tools. Note that Rexx, Python, and Perl are not part of the Windows 2000 package. They're all 3rd products tools that need to be installed by the interested user. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/1.45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/1 633/267 |
