The Apple store wanted to do the upgrade for me when I bought it.  I could
have left the unit there that evening and picked it up the next morning. 
There was no charge for the install.   I told them that I
wanted to bring the unit home, read the manuals and start playing with it
for a few days, and that I could bring it back the next weekend when it was
more convenient to be without the system for a half day.  The sales dude
said, ~that's fine, enjoy the MacMini, and don't be afraid to stop by if
there are any problems.~

There was no need for me to do the upgrade myself, nor would there be any
need for someone who bought the MacMini to sit in their entertainment
center to take the unit apart to install memory.  The MacMini is a
successful appliance design.  A very successful appliance design.  I'm
sorry if that bothers you.  Really I am.


Regarding the rest of your message, your message seemed to have sunk into
the usual ad hominem gutter-level attacks rather quickly this time. Once
again, I'll choose not to join you there.
