PE> I have a requirement to be able to fax something containing graphics.

PE> OS/2 2.1
PE> A faxmodem (spirit II)
PE> Lotus AmiPro for OS/2
PE> Microsoft Word that works under WINOS2
PE> WinFax Lite that works under WINOS2

I'd concentrate on just getting Winfax Lite working properly in Win,
by trying with Notebook with some graphics. Must be resolvable. You
presumably realise that that style of fax support is essentially just
installing the fax as a printer as far as Win is concerned.

What did you do about the BBS etc at the time you were attempting
to send the fax ? If you just expected the Winfax fax driver to
sort it all out for itself with the BBS still running, likely thats
what applied its fangs to your arse.

Ideally you want someone with a physical fax and another phone line
so you can just chat with them about what happened on a voice line
as you try various things.

PE> I would prefer a solution to this problem that doesn't involve having
PE> to get Windows for Workgroups, as that would require me to exit OS/2
PE> in order to send a fax, and that means no BBS for the duration.

One approach would be to get Warp, use its bundled fax support, with
AmiPro for OS2. That might mean you have a problem running Win apps
tho since presumably you dont have real Win installed anymore.

Or put up with the kludge until the full version of OS2 with WINOS2
arrives, presumably still with the bundled OS2 fax support.

Both these aint cheap tho.
