Hmmm...  In comparison with other boards?  I have not used the small PA
version but I recently got the 24*8 for my home studio and have found
the high-end to be delightful.  Smooth...
Maybe there is a subjective "grit" that you have become accustomed to
and when it is not present, you feel that it is a lack...
