No the first problem right now.

BP>if pyhon is missing in gentoo, then its really reinstall time, not
 BP>fixing time

This could be the way on it.

BP>1: download sysresquecd, burn it to cdrw media

No need here as the latest is from 29 of December and this is on the pc and
working.

BP>2: boot the cdrw, make sure its 64bit kernel selected
BP>3: if that boots, then you now have a working .config to compile your
 BP>own kernel from !

This is working and have done it since the 30 of December 2014.
Boot with linux on harddisk for make it to boot with router connections to
Internet.

BP>4: read online handbook for howto setup gentoo, dont use old files from
 BP>old harddisks
BP>5: read the howto very carefull, dont random read any point or step
 BP>from howto

There is error and not working links on http://www.gentoo.org for handbook
where it since 1. of January 2015 links to wrong site there is old wikii site
for Gentoo howto.

BP>if its not working, read handbook one more time

Don't working now on Internet as told of link error on gentoo.org.
no files is been copied as functions just only the config files and this is
been changed to look like the real config working config files.

 BP>giving up ?

No not here.

BP>goto linode.com and take it from there, only need to select 64bit
BP>kernel, and when its booted, emerge --sync, then emerge -e @world, to
BP>get it all compiled from source, this is important on linode

Have been in on linode.com by morning and looked for it here and it look like
there in some reason was asked to register and aksed for pay some amount to
work with it.

There could be need to first try out by rescuecd and then move the harddisk to
another 64bit pc and do the reinstall from start to end

  Take care,
            Gert
