sorry can't help on this, could not find any docs for this program so far too,
there is a dox file on the 1.8 d64, it seems the 1.8 can use mouse/joystick
(needs to be re-configured ?! no idea) , mind that the original amica paint
menus were German, 
English versions are unofficial translations. 
You can return to the 'main menu' pressing the 'Up arrow' key (DEL on VICE when
using positional keyboard settings).
