JH> Kewl! Just got the Haynes manual for my Escape with hopes to do more work JH> on the car. I had lost a lot of stuff during my divorce when I lived in JH> Maryland. Trying to retool here. Can you believe it? My ex took my JH> sockets when I was not in the house. Claimed she didn't know anything JH> about it. Now I have to get a new hydralic jack and jackstands etc. Got JH> some nice new sockets both metric and SAE. Can't find my one man brake JH> bleeder either. I have been slowly accumulating more and more tools. You can never have too many. It is rare that I have to replace calipers, so having the wife pump the brake while I bleed the caliper isn't bad. :) Having an entire car lift would be really nice, but they are also really expensive. I have the hydrolic jack, many jack stands (both car and truck). I could use one for my motorcycle. I had borrowed a friend's motorcycle jack and used it - as a combination with my hydrolic jack to lift my entire bike. These days, I find that using a combination of RockAuto, Amazon, and Ebay for parts (depending on what I'm looking for) has been a winning combination. Ebay for the particulars for a vehicle, and RockAuto / Amazon for the new items. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.51* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 203/0 633/267 280 640/384 1384 712/620 848 770/1 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 221/0 1 203/0 640/384 712/848 633/267 |
