I too use an OS .46 SF-ABC-P. I fly it in a Gimlet (sport-pattern).
I use a Mac's header & pipe with an 11x6 APC prop. I like it a lot,
but find the carburettor very sensitive to blockage from particles in
the fuel.

We often refer to powered sailplanes as "motorgliders." Many of the
sailplane "purists" look down on those of us who use motors or
engines to launch sailplanes. Truth is, few of us have the space
to use a winch or high-start. I fly a 2m with an .049, and a standard
class (100") Olympic II with a .10. My next project will be an
Apogee - a standard class balsa sailplane. I'll replace the kit balsa
wing with a 120" foam wing. I've never seen a Sperber. Sounds like
a nice size plane.
I'm currently working on a Gitano, a .60 pattern plane. It will be
flown with an OS .61RF-ABC-P.

I can see how it would be expensive to subscribe to several
foreign magazines!
Bye now,
Bruce
