 Ummmm, I hate to tell ya this, but I just happen to have a rumoured copy
 of an unused storyline involving Scar and Nala from LK I.  Apparently, the
 storyline mentions that Mufasa and Sarafina did the Leo mating dance to
 create Nala.  Ergo, Simba and Nala are (in a roundabout sense) bro and sis.
 I guess that also hints back to the line in the movie:
  
 Simba: "I can't marry her, she's my friend."
  
 Nala: "Yeah, it'd be so weird."
