        (3 Ventral Spinal mount, 3 Dorsal mount, 1 each stern and bow, 4
broadside, 2 starboard, 2 port).


The K'Terlinkala class was developed as a High-speed quick response border
patrol and commerce defense ship.  Romulans have had a steadily increasing
incidences of Pirating and Colony world attacks the romulans needed a fast
ship with a punch.  Turrets were added to give the ship the ability to
simultaneously hit multiple targets without taxing the central computer.
Each turret is assigned a target by the main computer and actual targeting
is controlled locally. The overwhelming pirate strategy has been to hit a
target with several small fast moving ships, similar in size to scouts, and
overwhelm the victim with numerical superiority.  The available firepower
and maneuverability should allow the K'terlinkala to stand up to a heavy
cruiser, but light shielding makes this unwise in most circumstances.  A
lack of Photon torpedo tubs limits the cruisers battle capabilities to
Sub-light and impulse only.


Ok, I will try to think of more later as I can.  Though I have to admit to
liking the lines of this ship.
