The Microsoft Z-80 card was a wonderful product: it enabled me to learn/run
for example CP/M and Turbo Pascal on my Apple ][. Whether this is a
convincing argument for you, I don't know, but for sure Microsoft had it's
own products and stands on it's own merits, thats what you should see.

p.s. of course you could say that the Z-80 card was evil: it halted the
6502 processor of the Apple while it was running and misused it's memory.
