subject: 2 problems on my Gentoo L

Hello All!

I could need some help on my 2 linux gentoo systems.

1. is on my linux router new install with kernel 3.16.5, it seem not to could
found the pythin compile function, when I have started it up.
This comes while firewall shorewall, and shorewall try to starts and like to
use python to compile some shorewall files use, and then is shorewall stops
with the message of missing python compiler.
When I then try to run 'emerge --sync and emerge python' is I getting like
this.
/sbin/emerge error no python is found or on the pc.
So it is how i getting the gentoo linux on this to work again so I can see if
my new router 64bit install with kernel 3.16.5 is to could work after it has
started up and if there is connection with the ohter computer for fidonet out
to the world.

2. the other problem is on my main fido pc there before have run with dosemu,
there now after new year got dosemu error by run, and i then tried to update
and recompile dosemu to work again but it now not like to run on the old kernel
2.6.39 and now cmes with that the old dos86 is been changed to be vm86 there is
working by newer kernels. I here prefer the old dos86 there can work fine on a
3.8.x kernel and too on a newer kernel there only support the newest functions
for linux and kernels.

  Take care,
            Gert
