I did a bit of googling, and it seems to be a bug in FireFox. Suggested
things to try were a) try closing it from File -> Exit instead of the X
icon, b) if you're using a theme, try another one to see if that could be
the cause and c) if you have FireFox preloader (probably in the Startup
group), don't use it.

So probably not compromised, just a bug in FireFox.
