| subject: | RedHat 8.0 + ADSL + Iptables making me nuts !`$`&/&%/%& |
Hello All.
Well installed RH 8.0, set up an ADSL connection with the wizard, connected
to the ISP, indeed it connected cause ppp0 is UP and ifconfig ppp0 gives me
it's state and IP address.
The thing is that all pings, traceroutes, browser tries are bloked by
ipchains or iptables. the second looks more like it but i dunno how the heck
can i permit outgoing connections cause all the time the answer is:
"network unreachable" and ca't connect to anywhere and the
/var/log/messages
says ... man don't remember it's something like REFUSED or DENIED i know for
sure it's IPtables that's blocking that interfaz outgoing and incoming
connections case on my internal LAN everything runs just fine.
Have the same problem with Debian 3.0.
Tried /etc/init.d/iptables clear and save the rules but nop luck.
Can anyone tell me how do i disable iptables or ipchains for good on ppp0 and
outside connections?.
TIA
David
