could you clarify couple concrete items regarding the future default
configs of fidoip?

regarging hpt config

in windows part of fidoip i have:

route crash 2:5020/828 *

in unix part i have:

Route normal 2:5020/828.0 2:*

if in a new version i would set for both parts as:

Route normal 2:5020/828.0 *

or

Route normal 2:5020/828.0 1:* 2:* 3:* 4:* 5:* N:*
(by the way - how many alive zones are now?)

or set it for both parts as:

route crash 2:5020/828 *

which way is better for point with one link connection to boss'es node?

(the prefix "2:5020/828" here is just pattern or sample, please
do not take it in consideration.)


and last question regarding binkd.cfg

now I have

domain fidonet \\home\\fido\\outbound  2
domain fidonet /home/fido/outbound 2

in both parts.

Could I set this as:

domain fidonet \\home\\fido\\outbound  *
domain fidonet /home/fido/outbound *

?

Will such configuration work well or not?

i could set in config additional variable $VAR_ZONE

domain fidonet /home/fido/outbound $VAR_ZONE
domain fidonet \\home\\fido\\outbound  $VAR_ZON

and change $VAR_ZON after user input his ftn address in configurator.

but may be * for zone number suite fine? Or not?
