JZ>Hi, I have come upon a product which I did not know existed. Its a
JZ>water timer which can be programed for each day and in 15 minute
JZ>increments of watering. It attaches to the bib outlet just in front of
JZ>the garden hose. I have set it up to water my garden with a sprinkler
JZ>each day at about 4:00pm for 15 minutes.
That's great, Joe. I knew they existed, but we'll pay about double
what you did. The only problem I'd have is that I don't water
anything except seedlings and new transplants on a daily basis. The
faster I can coax them to root deeply, the better drought resistance
they will have. Last year saw us put at least a foot of old hay over
most of the garden (many bales of rain damaged stuff), and we hardly
had to water at all.
JZ>for the past 4 days it has operated on schedule and for the set number
JZ>of minutes of sprinkling.
It'll go off the day after you leave. Electronic stuff is designed to
frustrate us. :-)
JZ>Hope it will prove benificial to others as well.
It's always nice to know what's available, and someone's experience
with it. Thanks, Joe.
...Sandra...
