subject: Cow story

Greetings, All!
Seems there is a story making the rounds about a trawler that sank
in the Sea of Japan. The crew claimed a cow fell out of the clear
blue sky and went straight through the hull.
A few weeks later, a story from Russia gave some support to their
claim. A crew of a military cargo jet collared a bovine found
wandering around the airfield and loaded it on board for a later
feast. Seems the beast did not take kindly to the trip to the
hamburger factory and ran amok while cruising at 30,000 feet. The
crew could not control the unrestrained animal and lowered the
cargo ramp allowing it to jump out.
My question is: I assume that the plane must have been
pressurized, and the pressure would have to be dumped to lower the
ramp. Would it not have been better to just depressurize and wait
a bit? Surely, at 30,000 feet it would not have taken long for the cow
to go to la la land, and the crew could then have found a way to
restrain it (perhaps they have cargo nets?).
