I had a recent experience with a physician who seemed to believe in the
old fable that he was a member of the old "I am God" line of reasoning.
Taking it as long as I could, I politely told him that he was no
different from a plumber, an electrician or a washer repair person in
that he was available for hire to ply his services in behalf of the
customer. Then I politely left. I suppose that Arrogance 101 is part
of the medical school education but it leaves me cold.
