It all depends on what you mean by "given a real choice." When
taking the choice for the big career involves never being able to go
home at 5 pm the number of women who choose this is quite small. This
is starkly evident in the Medical field. A recent study in Great
Britain showed that only 25 % of female medical students planned to
work full time after completeion of training.
