Hello all!
I'm considering buying an ODROID-U3. Its got 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, quad-core
GPU, and 2GB or ram. I'd be planning on using it for a generic desktop pc.
I'd be running it with ubuntu, but I also have the option of running ANDROID
OS on it.
First off, has anybody had any experience with this device? I have a
raspbery pi model B, running debian, but its pretty slow.
I also have a desktop PC, an Acer with an Intel Atom 1.60GHz single-core,
with 4GB of RAM, runing debian jessie. As a desktop PC, it can get very
sluggish when watching any youtube videos, or even when running dosbox.
So, my hope is that the ODROID running quad-core cpu and quad-core gpu would
somehow offer an increase in performance.
One of the main reasons I'm looking at this unit is because it is a tiny
form-factor, and will run quietly. It will be in the closet in my bedroom
and I don't want it to be too loud. Oh, and it's cheap. I can get it with
accessories for less than $100 shipped.
