Further to my earlier message ...
The "Out of memory" came up during a running macro again today.
"If you elect to continue you will not be able to undo" Whoop-de-
doo! I said "Go for it!", and guess what?
THE MACRO RAN TWICE AS FAST AFTER RUNNING OUT OF MEMORY!
My guess is that once Word throws up its hands in resignation, it
doesn't bother to store the Undo stuff back there in the last
paragraph mark of the document.
So? A useful strategy for us power-users might be to really
hammer the Undo thing to make it throw up (its hands) as soon as
possible, so that it will then discard any further undoable
changes! If you see what I mean. Maybe have the macro select the
whole document, delete it all, reinstate it, select all but the
first character, delete it, reinstate it, in an endeavour to fill
up Undo.
Just a thought .....
